The TKM product range for the tissue converting industry includes log saw blades for all OEMs and diameters, CBN grinding wheels manufactured in-house, lubrication systems, perforation and anvil knives for all machine types, core-cutting knives, blade guards, stainless steel doctor blades and packaging knives. The portfolio also includes knives for folded products such as towels, napkins and handkerchiefs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TKM is recognized for the quality of its log saw blades. The company can manufacture blades for all machine types, with diameters of up to 1,200 mm. Each TKM log saw blade is inspected and measured using modern automated testing equipment. The most critical values, axial and radial run-out, are engraved on every blade, providing customers with clear verification of their characteristics. An internal inspection protocol is also maintained for each blade to ensure future traceability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A distinctive feature of the production process is the dynamic run-out inspection performed on every individual blade. The following characteristics contribute to cutting quality and performance: steel manufactured in Germany; in-house heat treatment; lateral run-out 25% below OEM tolerance; fully automated production; fully automated inspection process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A unique coating for TKM log saw blades<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Friction between the log saw blade and tissue rolls, particularly AfH and jumbo rolls, can cause the blade to heat up considerably. This limits the number of cuts per minute and consequently reduces machine productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TKM<\/strong> has developed a specialized metal-based coating that significantly lowers the coefficient of friction between the blade and the paper roll. Since the coating is harder than the blade steel, it does not wear away during use. This solution improves both machine productivity and cutting quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
