EilReplus: Vision 2030. Sustainable leadership in tissue manufacturing

At the EilReplus headquarters, in the heart of the Lucca Tissue Valley, the atmosphere is one of determination and forward momentum, as if a significant chapter of the company’s story were being written.

The industry is experiencing an extraordinary growth phase: the global tissue market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 5.0% from 2025 to 2033, reaching a total value of $120.4 billion by 2033. Within the company, there is full awareness of this momentum and a clear determination to take a leading role.

“We’re not just talking numbers,” stated Andrea Poleschi, Sales Manager, with genuine passion. “We’re talking about a vision built day by day, client by client, plant by plant, as we’ve always done: with discretion and dedication to our craft.”

The track record speaks volumes: turnover has quadrupled in just five years since Eil and ReplusTissue began their journey together. But the EilReplus leadership team is looking ahead. “Our goal is continuous growth, aiming to reach €100 million in revenue by 2030. It’s not just a financial target – it’s the realization of an entrepreneurial dream, deeply rooted in Lucca’s manufacturing tradition. It’s strategic growth in an expanding market.”

A visit to the company immediately reveals what sets EilReplus apart from the industry giants. This is not a site for assembling standardized components: here, the future of each customer is engineered. Vertical integration – from mechanical design to automation, from energy efficiency to aero-thermal systems – is not just a commercial strategy, but a daily operational philosophy.

The success of the plant delivered to Papelera Reyes in Peru, operating at speeds exceeding 2,200 m/min and producing over 130 tons per day, sparked a wave of excitement across the organization. “When we saw those numbers,” recalled Rony Michelini, Technical Manager, “we knew we were on the right path. We weren’t just selling a machine; we were transferring a part of our passion for excellence.”

The roadmap to 2030 includes stabilizing production around five complete plants per year, a target embraced with the determination of those who know they can make a difference.

Integration and scalability: this controlled growth represents the perfect balance between ambition and responsibility, enabling the company to maintain the tailor-made quality that clients recognize and value.

At EilReplus, international expansion is viewed as a missiondriven endeavor. South America, where the company has already consolidated its presence through successful projects in Mexico, Peru, and Argentina (with additional orders currently in development), represents much more than just a strategic market.

“When we go to South America,” explained Rudy Michelini, Marketing Manager, “we bring with us not only Italian technology, but a way of working rooted in care, attention and constant presence, something that’s greatly appreciated there.”

Europe presents equally significant challenges, with manufacturers under pressure from strict environmental rules and high energy costs. They seek partners able to address their operational needs, and the inhouse ReEnergy+ technology has become a key solution. Each project demonstrates that cogeneration and major cost reductions in tissue production are tangible and effective, even for existing plants.

Interest in emerging markets, specifically North Africa and the Middle East, stems from a mature awareness of EilReplus’ role in the global industrial landscape. “We know we can make a difference in those markets,” stated the team. “We don’t just go to sell; we go to build long-term partnerships, to transfer know-how, to grow alongside our clients.” With increasing population and urbanization driving rising demand for tissue products, EilReplus approaches this challenge with the confidence of a team that knows it has the right expertise to meet it. The solutions required in these markets – high operational efficiency and low operating costs – are precisely the kind of technical challenges that ignite the creativity of the engineering department.

Designing solutions tailored to each customer’s specific conditions and requirements is just the beginning of a broader journey, one that the technical team undertakes with genuine enthusiasm. “Every time we install a plant,” explained the Operations Management, “we feel we’ve done something meaningful, not just for the client, but for all the people involved in operating that facility.” Vision 2030 foresees an even more ambitious evolution, including integration of new technologies, recovery systems, and circular economy solutions. “Always guided by the commitment that defines our identity in the market: providing bespoke solutions – not only in terms of technical specifications, but above all in our relationship with people and proximity to the customer. Being close doesn’t mean placing the customer at the center. It means walking beside them.”

The implementation of advanced digital technologies follows the company’s pragmatic approach. The RECARE+ system is the first step in a broader IT-driven transformation that by 2030 will include predictive maintenance, automated process optimization and real-time cloud monitoring.

In a market often distracted by the commoditization of value and heavily influenced by the standardized vision of multinational corporations, the “WE” philosophy at the core of EilReplus remains a clear differentiator. “It’s not a slogan,” emphasized Rudy Michelini, “it’s how we work every day. As we grow, we’ll expand the team, but we’ll remain faithful to the principles of flexibility, customization, and customer proximity that have alwaysdefined our approach. The human factor is a strategic asset for our mission.”

Each new hire is viewed as a way to strengthen the company culture that drives its success. Maintaining a human-scale identity during growth is a priority, with the awareness that people matter more than technologies or bold statements. The commercial roadmap is pursued with realism and enthusiasm, while challenges such as raw material volatility, global competition, and constant R&D needs are tackled with creativity and resilience.

A walk through EilReplus’ busy offices makes it clear: the company has found its ideal dimension. Vision 2030 is not just a business plan; it is the embodiment of a shared dream, involving every individual in the organization.

In a sector where standardization risks flattening the value offering, EilReplus continues to represent a high-value alternative for manufacturers who are not simply looking for a supplier, but a technological partner capable of interpreting and fulfilling their most specific needs.

The path to 2030 is marked by the determination of those who know that Italian excellence in tissue manufacturing still has much to offer the global market.
