Bagging machines
Since 1977, Amotek has been an Italian manufacturer of packaging machines located near Bologna, the heart of Italy’s Packaging Valley. The company designs and manufactures horizontal automatic bagging machines and complete packaging lines for a wide range of products, including toilet and kitchen rolls, sanitary napkins, baby and adult diapers, garbage bags and more.
Amotek’s machines are extremely versatile and easy to operate, capable of packing single or multiple products into bags made from film reels – flat, center-folded or pre-made. Thanks to their operational flexibility, these machines can be seamlessly integrated into any production line or run independently as standalone units.
Multi-bagging series and labelling machines
With 48 years of experience, Amotek has developed technologies covering the full range of products required by the tissue market. The current portfolio includes high-speed baggers for the primary packaging of toilet and kitchen rolls, as well as multibaggers for secondary packaging.
An example is the Amotek IS220 Multi-Bagger Series, an ideal packaging solution for interfolded tissue and multipacks of nonwoven products. This machine embodies the company’s commitment to versatility and flexibility, offering a wide range of formats and configurations, a modular infeed concept and the ability to create single or multi-layer pack presentations, even with thinner products for easy pack formation. The IS220 is designed to pack individually wrapped products into multipacks ranging from 3 up to 30 pieces per bag. The resulting squared packages can then be perfectly stacked on a pallet. Another relevant development is the labelling unit machine, an automatic labelling system for multipacks with labels for flowwrapped wet wipes packages.
The Amotek model WWL is a labelling unit that produces smart stickylabelled packs, allowing significant savings in packaging film. The label can be printed, neutral or transparent; the pre-cut option can be included to facilitate tearing, and it can be coupled to any flow pack machine.
The WWL labelling unit can also be integrated into the Amotek automatic bagger basic model PB166WWM, consolidated in the market for decades.
The resulting model, PB166WWM-L, is a hybrid capable of stacking and multi-packing prepacked wet wipes either into PE premade bags and/or with the labelling unit. The basic model PB166WWM, originally designed for multipacks of wet wipes in pre-made bags, offers the advantage of managing a doublelayer configuration.
End of line equipment
Completing the range, Amotek offers compact solutions for the overwrapping process of different types of soft disposable products. The new bundler series can be easily coupled to an Amotek bagger as well as to other baggers. Various formations in rows and combined layers are possible, ensuring the exact quantity of products per package.
In the bundling process, functionalities allow grouping the widest range of formations available on the market, in vertical or horizontal package positions, ensuring stable, compressed secondary packaging with an excellent appearance. Both tissue and nonwoven products in primary packages can be handled. Fast format part changeovers, simple operation and high overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) are guaranteed.
