At Paniker, efforts are constantly made to improve products by focusing on research and development in line with sustainability. Currently, within the range of adhesives, alternative formulations with bio-based raw materials can be offered.
Likewise, water-based adhesives developed by Paniker can be dispersed in water in an industrial recycling process with an index between 97% and 100%, following the recommendations for better recyclability. This adds value to the final product by not interfering with the recycling process and provides a better brand image for the consumer. In addition, all Paniker grades comply with FDA/ BfR regulations.
Quality and efficient adhesives
From the manufacture of the cardboard tube, the lamination of the paper, the bonding of the first layer of the roll (pick-up) and the closing of the roll (tail-seal), adhesives can play an invisible yet critical role.
Lamination and tail-seal adhesives can be provided concentrated or diluted. Reliable and high-quality adhesives, such as TISSUECOL, can perform excellent bonding with different papers over a wide range of dilutions (either automatic or manual).
These formulations also run clean in the machine, as they do not adhere to the embossing roll or any other metallic part.
Only a few adhesive manufacturers can provide specific solutions for each of these applications: Paniker’s R&D department is focused on formulating adhesives technologically suitable for the tissue industry. A special production unit is also available, able to manufacture 15,000 tons/year exclusively for this market, using segregated machines and raw materials.
Workers are specifically trained to deal with these formulations, which are very different from other water-based glues.
